IB Education Forum, 6 December 2008
In order to promote further exchanges between Japanese and non-Japanese educators who are interested in the IB, Tamagawa University Research Institute is hosting a full-day IB Education Forum on Saturday, 6 December 2008. The forum also aims to provide those who are already teaching the IB with a chance to share their expertise. From the IB Asia Pacific office, John Switzer, Programme Recognition Manager and Curtis Beaverford, MYP Regional Manager will be present. Further details will be announced later, but please mark this date in your calendar and come to the Forum.
MYP Bilingual Workshop Leader Training
Curtis Beaverford, MYP Regional Manager, and Kyoko Bernard organized an epoch-making Japanese-English bilingual workshop leader training which was held from 6 - 8 June at Tamagawa Gakuen, Tokyo. As the number of Japanese middle schools interested in implementing the MYP is growing, there is an acute need for bilingual workshop leaders who can facilitate inschool workshops in Japanese and English. Please contact the IB Asia Pacific office at ibapmyp@ibo.org so that you can make arrangement for an English/Japanese inschool workshop at YOUR school as Ayumi Hoshino and Maki Komatsu from Tokyo Gakugei University International Secondary High School and Jeff Jones and Quincy Kameda from Tamagawa Gakuen who underwent an intensive three-day training are ready to offer their expertise.
