About the universities—University of Bath
The University of Bath’s Department of Education is offering a master’s degree in education that enables participants to focus on teaching and learning in IB programmes. The recognized course is designed for experienced IB teachers and offers participants an opportunity to critically engage with the educational principles and practices associated with an IB programme. The course of study includes the following four core modules:
- Education in an international context
- Curriculum studies
- Understanding learners and learning
- Assessment of pupil achievement
Successful completion of these four modules will make participants eligible to register for the Level 1 award. Subsequent completion of a full master’s degree by undertaking two additional modules and an IB-focused dissertation will lead to Level 2 award eligibility
