Test Analyst Ref 486c One Year Fixed-Term Contract

Salary: Commensurate with experience

The information technology department provides a service to IB staff, offices, schools and examiners worldwide. The development team consists of three areas: application development, application support and testing.

An experienced test analyst is required to test a range of web-based applications. With an ISEB/ISTQB foundation certificate in software testing (or equivalent), you will have formal business experience of testing IT systems from writing test documentation to manually executing test scripts.
Working in the testing team, you will test new and amended applications, on a variety of platforms, according to specification and agreed criteria. Working within an agile team environment, but with the ability to work independently, you will use all methods of testing to ensure each product is of the highest quality, and will make suggestions for improvement. This will include using data interrogation and manipulation techniques and tools such as SQL to create test data and verify database updates. In addition you should be thorough in your work with good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
