Application Support Developer (3 posts) Ref 229
Closing date: Thursday 14 February 2008
The information and communication technology department provides a service to IB staff, offices, schools and examiners worldwide. The development team consists of three areas: application development, application support and testing. The teams work closely together to develop quality web-based systems for users worldwide.
In order to keep pace with the diverse range of applications being developed, the application support team is expanding. As such, opportunities have arisen for 3 application support developers to maintain and develop web-based systems. With an IT related degree (or equivalent experience in an IT discipline), you will have experience of developing IT systems, including troubleshooting. The specific environments used are Oracle (SQL and PL/SQL), Javascript, HTML and Coldfusion (a web application server). Experience of using these would be a distinct advantage. It is essential that you have practical experience of developing, testing and supporting systems, working closely with end-users, communicating technically complex issues to non-technical staff and working as part of a development team.
